FLEXIBILITY TRAINING AND COACHING
Fitness and wellness encompasses far more than cardiovascular efficiency, muscular strength or the way you look. Being truly fit means being able to participate in all of life’s wonderful activities. Really, one of the greatest joys of life is to not only be healthy but pain-free—to be able to move like you did as a child, with complete freedom and ease.
The importance of stretching and optimal flexibility pre and post -workout and/or activity is often overlooked and should be an integral part of your workout and daily regimen. A big source of maximizing your performance is to move your body in all directions without any limitations to your range of motion (ROM). Not only should you be able to get through your daily life without pain, but you should be able to participate in any athletic activity and not be limited by pain or ROM, only by your skill level. That is why stretching needs to be a component of your fitness routine: It elongates and relaxes your muscles. It also boosts synovial fluid in your joints—which keeps them lubricated—and improves ROM in both your joints and muscles. See below for our list of flexibility trainings and coaching sessions!
