FastTrac (MFR & Thai Massage)

The concept of recovery – restoring the body’s physiological systems – is an essential component of facilitating repair from continuous fitness training and athletic activity. Victor D. Cabral of NKbody at Fit Faction is a licensed massage therapist (LMT) trained in both myofascial release massage therapy (MFR) and Thai massage. Both modalities complement the restorative services he offers through his FastTrac athletic recovery treatment, designed to reset clients’ bodies and enhance performance.

FastTrac is available as a 40-minute or extended 65-minute session combining MFR, a targeted fascia (connective tissue) massage, and Thai massage, which includes dynamic manual stretching. Victor focuses on the hip flexors, hamstring group, ankles, and feet. This treatment is ideal for adult athletes pushing their limits, aiming to increase flexibility and mobility, accelerate recovery between workouts, and enhance performance and endurance.

Modalities Involved in FastTrac:

  • MFR is a targeted massage treatment that focuses on the fascia (connective tissue) surrounding muscles and tendons within the musculoskeletal system. It helps release pressure and tension, reduce inflammation, and restore mobility. Victor employs various MFR techniques, such as applying constant and direct pressure to the fascia until a release occurs. Additionally, Victor uses his palms, knuckles, elbows, or other tools to knead, stretch, and gradually elongate restricted fascia.

  • Thai Massage is a full-body restorative massage during which Victor leverages his body weight to apply therapeutic pressure along energy lines throughout the body. He incorporates manual stretching, pressure point therapy, and body movement manipulation. Through manual stretching, he provides a more dynamic, deep, and effective stretch than clients can achieve on their own. Utilizing body movement manipulation, Victor adjusts a client’s body into poses or positions similar to assisted yoga.

What To Expect During FastTrac Sessions

All FastTrac sessions take place at The Fit Faction, a private gym located in Chelsea. The second floor of the gym is designated for all NKbody at Fit Faction massage treatments. FastTrac sessions occur on both a massage table (for MFR) and a floor mat (for Thai massage). Please wear relaxed and comfortable clothing, such as a t-shirt, shorts, or leggings, for the Thai massage portion. Victor will start with an initial consultation and assessment before beginning. He will gather pertinent information about clients’ medical history, concerns, injuries, and symptoms, as well as assess their movement, mobility, and posture, to customize an action plan for the most effective treatment.
