About Joseph Shkreli

Joseph Shkreli of Nk Body Philosophy is a licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac) with a Master of Science in Acupuncture (MSAc), specializing in orthopedic and sports-injury recovery. During Acupuncture sessions, a Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment, he inserts fine, sterile needles into specific points on the body to balance energy and promote natural healing. Joseph is dedicated to delivering drug-free and holistic pain management, lifelong wellness support, and personalized care to each client. His professional passion grew from his personal experience with a sports-related hip injury and the five consecutive acupuncture sessions that led to his full recovery.

During his MS graduate program, which emphasized hands-on learning, Joseph deepened his focus on orthopedic care through training, clinical practice, and internships. Specifically, he completed approximately 3,300 total hours of training, including 990 hours of clinical practice, where he treated over 250 patients. To further expand his capabilities in acupuncture techniques and patient care, Joseph interned for three years, specifically gaining valuable knowledge and experience in scar tissue acupuncture. Additionally, he advanced his orthopedic care knowledge and learned to apply acupuncture techniques in integrative, community-focused settings through internships at fast-paced clinics such as OnPointNYC, which served under-resourced communities.
