Myofascial Release is a type of soft tissue therapy used to treat chronic pain, trigger points, scar tissue, improve postural imbalances, neuropathy, muscular and joint injuries, and many other disorders. It is accomplished by using direct pressure, stretching of the tissue, and gradual strokes that align with the movement of the fascia. It has been utilized in clinical environments to structurally integrate soft tissue in the muscle, fascia, and limited range of motion in joints.

Craniosacral Therapy (CST)

Recommended for:

Chronic Pain, Fibromyalgia, Migraines, TMJ, Neck Pain, Back Pain, Concussions, Regional Pain Syndrome, Neuralgia, and Neurodegenerative Diseases

Therapist for Craniosacral Therapy: Candice

Craniosacral therapy (CST) or cranial osteopathy is an effective form of alternative therapy that uses a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the function of the craniosacral system (the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord). The role of this system is so important that an imbalance or dysfunction in it can cause sensory, motor, and neurological disabilities. CST boosts the body's natural healing processes and is increasingly used as a way to bolster resistance to disease. It is effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and other physical dysfunction.

Myofascial Stretch Therapy

Recommended for:

Acute and Chronic Pain, Correct Postural Issues, Pain Management, Overuse Injuries, Injury Prevention, Increase Range of Motion, Scar Tissue Release, and Decrease Overall Tension

Therapist for Myofascial Stretch: Candice

Fascia has been known to contribute to our pain because it can tighten, which may result in constricting our muscles, decreasing blood supply, causing pain, and decreasing range of movement.  These dysfunctions in the fascial system may be contributed by overuse, disease, trauma, inactivity, and poor postural awareness.

Myofascial Stretch Therapy technique will aid in helping the fascia to relax in a contracted muscle and therefore will increase range of motion, decrease pain, correct postural imbalances, and improve lymphatic and blood circulation. This technique can be quite firm or gentle with sustained pressure and active release to the area being treated.

Testimonials

Years ago I went into the sales manager’s office at the gym, where he told me “You’re the worst kind of fat…you’re skinny fat!”  I was surprised, but I could see his point, so I joined!  After a while I figure I’d made some improvements, but nothing dramatic.  After the gym closed, I signed up with Nicole.  Wow, what a difference!

Nicole created a workout program that included things I’d never really incorporated in years of my own gym workouts: True variety, specific intensity, and measurable accountability.  And these workouts work!

Over the last few months I’ve had at least a half dozen people who’ve known me for many years comment that I look bigger and stronger.  When I went back to look at Nicole’s “before” pictures of me, I agree; the difference is real!  Not only do people see it, but I feel it.  Things that used to seem heavy aren’t anymore.  Things that used to be strenuous are less so.  And things that never seemed possible, now are.  Like getting a lot more attention on dating apps…now that my pictures reflect my “after” body!

Besides being thankful for Nicole’s belief, expertise, and support, I’m excited about even more gains yet to come!

My experience working with Nicole has been life changing. Given particular health challenges, I am extremely selective about the massage therapists I work with. Once I found Nicole I knew she was the only one I wanted to work with. She has an intuitive understanding of the body. The myofascial work Nicole does is incredible- it has helped to significantly decrease levels of chronic pain and increase my range of motion. I feel renewed after each session. Additionally, through our 1 on 1 personal training sessions, Nicole has worked to develop an educational program that considers my particular health situation while allowing room for growth and appropriate challenge. I highly recommend Nicole to anyone looking for a compassionate expert in these areas.
